John Daly - One More City EP

Lead and title track 'One More City' is perhaps his most anthemic and europhic track yet, one that could almost be a lost early Happy Records DAT found in the studios of Mad Mike Banks (Underground Resistance), with its glorious, strong in-the-mix pianos, high-energy percussion and washes of Detroit inspired atmosphere. Definitely one for the summer and we think has underground anthem stamped all over it, with its extremely well executed vibe and authentic sound.

'This Time' is an emotional, pad drenched track with rich, warm analogue production, a strong organ sound and a similar bubbling bassline to 'One More City'; but it's certainly more refrained. Last up is the mesmerising 'Weightless'. Fathoms deep with its very live sounding acoustic bass line, skittering percussion and forever present pads. This is something quite special and yes that word timeless does spring to mind!

Overall a super strong, well rounded EP from secretsundaze that re-affirms John Daly's love for vintage sounds yet still appealing to today's dance floors.
