Jatun Mama - Ura Uku

Jatun Mama is a Kichwa electronic music duo from the Andes of Ecuador. It was born in March 2023 in the Kichwa commune of Turuku, located in Cotacachi - Imbabura. The duo proposes the re-signification of the music of the peoples and nationalities of Ecuador by re-mixing instruments of the Andean region with modern sonorities and electronic equipment, transmitting the strength of ritual music and the Kichwa party.

This album, produced by Atzil Jesús Bonilla, explores the cosmology of Ecuador's ancestral peoples through atmospheric soundscapes, Andean musical instruments and electronic tools.
