Rosa Brunello - Reworks

Italian bass player and composer Rosa Brunello has a serious range to her music and has explored everything from dub to rock to South American stylings. As the title suggests, this EP transforms Brunello's original compositions into new club-ready contexts. Khalab's rework of 'Found You In A Maze' juxtaposes tribal drums with lush brass and reverb-soaked jazz elements with conversational interplay.

Neil Bopperson's take on 'Chance Upon A Chance' foregrounds Rosa's basslines over a sleek 4/4 groove and is enriched with flute and live synths, while Paolo Baldini's dub-infused 'Razzle-Dazzle' fuses experimental jazz with reggae warmth. DJ Stempom's 'Desert Moon Stomp' is a techno-ready remix that channels club clout with the original emotive core of Brunello's work.
